User & Role Management
Available in: Professional and Enterprise
Users represent your organization's employees or affiliates. Users are assigned a role and Organizational Unit.
Users
Creating a User
- In the Admin Console, from the User Management menu, click the Add User button
- Enter required fields such as name, email, organization, time zone and role
- From the Password Setup box, select an initial password method
- If the user is to set up their own password, they'll need to confirm their email address by clicking an activation email linkĀ
- Click Submit
Editing a User
- In the Admin Console, from the User Management menu, search for and select the user you wish to edit
- From the user details screen, click Edit
- Change user details and click Update
Resetting a User Password
- In the Admin Console, from the User Management menu, search for and select the user you wish to perform a password reset
- Click the Password Reset button
- Follow the prompts to select a password reset method
Resending an Activation Email
- If the user was created with the Password set by user option, they'll need to click the activation link in an email prior to accessing the system, at which point their Account Activation status is changed to Verified
- In the Admin Console, from the User Management menu, search for and select the user you wish to resend an activation email to
- Click the button to Resend Activation Email
Roles
Roles are permission groups used to control access to your data. Each user must be assigned a role.
